Rescue With Purpose

Saving Northern breed dogs from high-risk shelters and restoring them through structure, leadership, and mushing.

Helping Homeless Huskies Heal was founded and is operated by Jean Stokes, who rescues Huskies from kill shelters across the United States.

Many of these dogs face euthanasia due to overcrowding, breed misunderstanding, or behavioral challenges caused by lack of structure. Rather than allowing them to become statistics, Jean transports them, evaluates them, and begins structured rehabilitation immediately.

Structure is everything. Many of the dogs are trained in mushing and working activities to provide physical outlet, mental clarity, and leadership. This restores balance, builds confidence, and prepares them for responsible placement.

Huskies are intelligent working dogs. They require boundaries, consistency, and experienced handling. The focus is not quick placement — it is the right placement.

Helping Homeless Huskies Heal is privately funded and independently operated. There is no corporate backing — only dedication, experience, and commitment to permanent homes.
